- "Tree and Streetlight on a Foggy Night" Jack Tumblin
-
- An LCIS hierarchy made this low contrast (~20:1) display image from
- pixels of a high contrast (>100,000:1) floating-point scene. Despite
- severely reduced display contrast, LCIS preserves details everywhere,
- even within strong shadows, highlights and image intensity gradients.
- Original scene intensities were gathered using 11 photographs (note
- tracks of flying insects) and Debevec's radiance map method. Though
- long radial fog streaks were plainly visible at the scene, they were
- not apparent on the source photos. Thanks to Huong Q. Dinh for crucial
- image alignment work for this scene.
